244.48×8.94mm TC-50为我公司自主研发的新型钢级，与同类钢级J55、K55相比，该钢级晶粒度细小，其组织均为珠光体+铁素体，无魏氏组织及网状铁素体组织，化学成分P、S含量远低于API 5CT要求，并且其中含有大量的有益合金元素，使其拉伸性能优良，屈服及抗拉强度优于同类钢级，冲击性能远高于技术标准要求。同时，经实验验证，其静水压结果高于API 5CT标准对同规格钢级套管要求59%，外压至失效高于API TR 5C3标准对同规格钢级套管要求25.2%，拉伸至失效高于API TR 5C3标准对同规格钢级套管要求16.1%。该钢级适用于环境复杂、地质条件恶劣的工况环境。
